Hi need help with our mini palm plant. It’s stopped growing, leaf tips browning, and my husband saw millipedes or centipedes floating in the saucer when we were draining it. The water flows out very quickly too when I water. This palm has been healthy for a year and just now seeing this problem. What may be causing this and how do I get rid of the gross millipedes? Thank you

Might be time to replace the soil and inspect the roots to make sure there’s no problems there. The soil looks like a nice chunky mix though I would stick with the same type. Hopefully switching it out will help with bugs too, give a quick spray with hydrogen peroxide to make sure

Thank you! We were thinking about repotting too soon, so I’m glad you mentioned that too. Makes me feel better knowing that this isn’t something that I can’t fix (and hopefully I can!). Thank you!!🙏

I’m new to this and don’t know about the centipedes. But from the description of the watering situation it sounds like it’s hydrophobic. I’ve seen where people say to bottom water those and a few other tips as well. I’d search for more info to see if it matches. Good luck.

Ah that’s possible too, I’ll look into that if that’s why. Thank you!!
