Hopefully someone can help me out 😂: I’ve recently noticed white spots on my pothos leaf and the stem as well. From my inexperienced eye it looks moldy. Is that treatable?? Thanks in advance!!

I would just clean it off in lukewarm warm water and a soft rag and then be sure to change the water every week. Hard to see exactly but it might also have roots long enough to put it in soil if you want to.
1 LikeI’m going to try the hydroponic route as it seems the easiest for a first time plant-rent lol. Thank you for responding!

1 LikeThanks! Will wiping off the suspicious stuff hurt or harm the plant ?

i would go with one of the suggestions above, take a damp paper towel or cloth and try to wipe it off. if it appears again when the stems dry, it would be scale from the water, and if it stays gone, it might be a pest. good luck!
2 LikesI used rubbing alcohol to clean off the build up(then rinsed). I was able to scrape some of the hard stuff off with my finger. Let’s hope this works. Thank you all !!!!
0 LikesI have the exact same problems with. . I believe they’re spider mites. I spray them with mild soapy water, and sometimes a little bit of fine mist of olive oil. They don’t like a lot of humidity so my pothos in the bathroom where the shower is I don’t have the problem. Sometimes I just soak the leaves in mild soapy water.
0 LikesAre yours in water? Do you rinse them off after spraying?
