Hi all! New to this community and fairly new to houseplant care. I propagated this Chinese Evergreen from a cutting and it grew like gangbusters. I recently moved it and I believe it was stressed and I overwatered for the new darker location and slower growth in the winter season. I am planning to repot to check for root rot. Any tips on repotting and rehabbing the brown leaves? Can I cut the brown spots away, should I remove the whole leaf, or leave them be? Thanks for the help!

I believe that if a leaf is too badly damaged, it isn’t going to be of much help in feeding itself; I would definitely chop those leaves off. Plus, that damage could be caused by a fungus, and in that case, you would also want to remove those leaves, and treat your plant with a fungicide. It’s looking pretty leggy, compared to a normal, healthy Chinese evergreen. I think that may mean it’s not getting enough light.
