Hey, so I found this weird yellow stuff at the base of my spider plant. What is it? I’m freaking out. HELP!

Kinda looks like roots poking through. Mature spiders get surprisingly thick roots. Have you investigated it more?

I have and it is not the roots. After scraping at it it broke up and acted like a kind of fungus or something infecting my plant

Should I remove it all? Or repot it?

Definitely looks like a mold/fungus growing in there. I know there ARE certain types of healthy or harmless fungi and I’m not very knowledgeable on that topic but I don’t love the look of that one… I would see if you can ID it!
