So you didnāt provide details about what you are worried about specifically but I do see sticky sap like residue. Thatās usually a pest. When this happens to me I first give the plant a shower. Then I spray twice/week with a mix of mostly water (approx 1 quart), tsp of Dr Bronners peppermint castille soap, 1/2 tsp neem oil, and about 1/4 cup food grade hydrogen peroxide. Let it dry each time you spray but not in the direct sun. Monstera like to dry out between waterings and that leaf tear looks like mechanical damage - not a pest. I know people love misting their plants but I find that it breeds fungal and bacterial disease. Those yellow and brown tips could be overwatering. Let the soil dry out. Stick a bamboo skewer in the soil to check if itās dry before watering. If it worsens - check the roots - slimy and brown means itās time to repot and cut off those parts of the roots. This monstera looks like the Obliqua - has elongated leaves with large holes - that appears normal.
3 Mi piaceI would definitely wash the entire plant in a tub of isopropyl alcohol, neem oil and peppermint Castile soap but before Iād rinse off and take off all the soil and start from new. Make sure you clean the pot before repotting for any pests lurking. Fresh soil, a clean plant and sunlight should make it happy again
1 mi piaceI had mealy bugs š and and this is what I did. I took rubbing alcohol and a q-tip and rubbed where I saw the bugs then I washed the whole plant off and after that I put it in a new pot. If you try this I hope it helps
0 Mi piaceHi! I think you misted the vine in the first pic, right? The stuff thatās worrying you is the brownish-yellowing of that leaf in the first pic. Is the second of it after the dried off bit fell apart? I donāt see any signs of bugs or pests. It looks like the roots might have been sitting in too much water and not gotten to dry out. 1. Have you replanted the vine recently? You may need a larger pot for this one and some new soil. 2. In the second photo it looks like someone picked off the dried parts of the leaf. Not sure if that is what happened but the plant is doing what it should in this case.
