This hydrangea isn’t doing well. The leaves are crumply. I’m not sure why. It’s been getting water almost every 4 days and it still feels like under watering. I’m not sure. Please help. Thanks in advance. It’s in a NW facing window.

Hydrangea flowers need to take water through the petals as well sometimes! I dunk mine in bowls of water as well as mist them frequently!

They’re sensitive to lime in water so they need to be watered with distilled or rain water. Also you miiiight want to pre-treat it for spider mites. Mine got wilted bc I didn’t know about the distilled water at first and now it’s caught spider mites. YMMV but just a heads up.

Thanks for all this info. It doesn’t rain much in Texas right now, and my mom doesn’t like me spending money for “unnecessary” plant stuff. Is there a way to get water without lime with refrigerator filter or boiling water?

According to planta (bc I’m no expert) filtered water should be ok but you have to check that your filter takes out lime. I googled for my brita and it wasn’t conclusive if it takes out lime. They do say you can make your own distilled water….
