Is this browning normal for my bonsai??

    Yep. Because junipers' foliage is so dense, the center can get fully shaded and die back. If you want to keep more of the inside branches, then you need to shape and trim it to make sure every part you're keeping gets light. Otherwise it'll just hollow out as it grows. If it turns brown at the outer tips of the branches, that's a sign of scorching from too much heat or light. If it dries out bottom branches to top, that's dehydration. It's also normal for older and larger branches to turn brown and become woody as they age

      Thank you! I’ll try to prune the bonsai a bit to make it a little less dense.
