Ring of fire - roots look fine?
Ring of fire - roots look fine?
Ring of fire albo variegated, nice, when I first looked I thought it was the most rarest plant in the world, Alocasia PELTATA SILVER
1 mi piaceI honestly bought it from a small plant shop for like $25 and at first thought it was expensive then realized it’s much rarer than my white knight which I paid the same amount for. Both gorgeous plants though!
1 mi piaceThat’s a bargain as never seen that plant before, so yah $25 is a still
1 mi piaceHow interested. I’m learning a lot in this comment section lol yeah I went because my partner was playing a gig in another state and I drove so I made him come and buy me a plant as payment haha I had wanted a ring of fire for a while, I guess variegation was just lucky. I appreciate all the info!
0 Mi piaceI got it for 10$
0 Mi piaceWelp either way glad to support a small business. It was a gift to me :)
0 Mi piaceNot sure about the browning on the end part, could be low on fertilizer or humidity
0 Mi piaceI’ll throw a humidifier next to it see what happens LOL it’s all a test with the pretty plants 😭
0 Mi piaceCan just be that it’s a fully white leaf. White leaves don’t last long bc they can’t photosynthesize
2 Mi piaceAll white leaves are pretty to look at but don’t typically last long because there’s no chlorophyll to help process light. They’ll eventually die back as a result. If the roots look fine and you’re not seeing issues on the rest of the plant, then the plant is just culling the fully variegated leaf
3 Mi piaceApp isn’t let me edit comments. But I was gonna add that you can add silica to your feeding schedule and that should help stabilize variegated leaves at least a bit longer
3 Mi piaceInteresting thank you so much
0 Mi piaceI second the silica supplement. I really think it helps. It can be used on all your plants.
