Hi there! I received this lily as a gift 28 days ago and I urgently need help caring for it. I would hate to kill the second lily gifted to me. Any suggestions are appreciated. I live in an apartment and the only light indoors is the living room. About a week after receiving it I noticed browning to the flowers so I took it to the shaded patio that gets little to no sunlight. How can I revive this? It’s in the same pot it came with and has not been fertilized. I am thinking to bring it back inside near the living room window and repotting it. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Check for pests. My family was given plants at my grandpas funeral, and about half of them ended up having pests or diseases. From now on any plant I get or am given gets quarantined. Does the pot have drainage holes? What direction does the living room window face?

Thanks for the suggestion Abbi! The pot does have drainage holes. Living room window faces south. After removing the plant from the pot I did notice overgrown roots so I decided to place it into a bigger pot along with watering it. I’m hoping the plant improves

So if it isn't used to much light the window might be a bit much for it. Set it a couple feet away and slowly move it closer. If you acclimate it slowly enough it should be fine.

You should separate it into two plants, my lily starts turning brown if it needs separated. These you have to actually break apart you cant take clippings, when we got ours it was thick and full and I was able to split off I think 6 so we had quite a few and now its happy thriving.

I’m happy your lily is now thriving! I will separate it as suggested. Thank you!
