This is Aslan. Heās a ~30 year old jade plant that is a cutting from my abuelaās giant jade plant. As you can see he is in a tomato can, which lacks drainage. It was originally a temporary pot after my dad accidentally knocked the original pot over and broke it, but Aslan has seemed to quite like the can despite the lack of drainage for a few years now, and grown more than it has in years. Iāve been told by my aunt it seems Aslan is āstretchingā and should be repotted or beheaded and propogated, but Iām absolutely terrified to do either as this plant was the last one of my abuelaās she cut for anyone, and she has since passed on. I really donāt wanna kill this one. Heās very dear to me. If anyone can offer any advice on repotting a jade this old, you have no idea how grateful Iād be.
