Neem oil not killing pesky little bugs in soil in my croton plant what should I do?
sounds like fungus gnats â youâll need mosquito bits or dunks
0 gillningarI donât think theyâre gnatsâŠtheyâre white very tiny creepy crawler things. They donât look like any of the commons pests mention and theyâre not really destroying my plants either
0 gillningarHow about a photograph so we can actually see these pesky little things? đđđȘŽ
2 gillningarPerhaps springtails? đ€ theyâre just little bug-moles that help break down organic matter in the soil and give a bit of natural fertilizer lol google will give you lots of helpful info on these! I know theyâre so tiny tho, very hard to see what they really look like with the naked eye but they kind of use a little tail to âspringâ themselves around the soil đ§đ§
3 gillningarYeah letâs see âem!!
3 gillningarOh, are they like the ones in the picture? These are soil mites. I am facing this problem as well. Im using Neem Oil to see how that works, but ive done a little research and apparently you can either repot or use diatomaceous earth.
2 gillningarMaybe a little skinner? And longer
0 gillningarYes!!!!
0 gillningarfor soil mites I have to fully change the soil, give it a very good rinse, and then spray the roots with hydrogen peroxide. but you could also just leave them be if they arenât damaging the plant, they will help keep other pests like thrips away
