So my rubber plant that has been thriving since the start of my plant journey ~3 years ago i repotted and it declined, rapidly, dropped all its leaves and i chopped it because i want to at least try and save some cuttings, but im really unsure if the rest is saveable, i love this thing to death and i dont want to have to part with it if theres any way to save it

I’m a little confused about your post, when did you repot it? Does the pot have drainage? Is it getting enough light? Does the soil have enough drainage? Are you fertilizing it appropriately?

I repotted it about 3-4 weeks ago and yes the pot/soil has drainage and is in a greenhouse set up, and i fertilize every watering with 1/4 reccomended dosage, and it was loving it but after the repot it just kept dropping leaves and getting all wrinkly, and kinda drying up, i know plants can go into shock but this was the worst shock ive ever seen when repotting a plant

From what I know you have to not fertilize during the repotting “shock” time and water very cautiously. I’d say give it a little more time to recover and hopefully it will bounce back in a few weeks. 🤞🏻

Jay, the same thing happened to my rubber plant. Brought it home, repotted, and it proceeded to drop leaves continuously. Then came an infestation of fungus gnats and I topped with sand to stop that. It recovered but not looking good. I will replace.

I had asked a local plant store owner who said I had it too close to the window - too bright - and he said they don’t like abrupt change. I probably should have waited before repotting.
