Hey everyone! My dieffenbachia carina will not stop growing mushrooms. i have tried repotting, just picking them out, and switching out the soil. Any advice?

mushrooms are generally not harmful to the plant and usually mean that the soil is of good quality, but may be too wet. if this is an indoor plant, the spores from the mushrooms are in the air already and there is no way to fully stop them from growing. you can treat the top layer of soil with non-sweetened cinnamon and that will prevent growth for a while, but it's not a permanent solution.

increasing the air flow the plant receives may also help. put it closer to a window or a door that is opened frequently to promote circulation

I’ve had them in the past and it was when the soil stayed to moist
