Help! Thrips have infected all of my plants, all of my previously healthy, happy plants are now dying. I have been using a homemade insecticide spray every other day, and putting DE on the dirt every time I water too. They have not left or even slowed down, it’s really sad, especially because the worst plant is a golden pothos and she was a cutting of a cutting from a great grandma. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Try rinsing the leaves very thoroughly and applying captain jacks insecticide soap. I don’t know what your homemade insecticide has, but I’ve had good luck with Captain Jack’s. You could also try changing out the soil and adding systemic granules.

My insecticide soap has castile soap, a tad of dish soap, some powdered chili and water. I will try Captain Jacks, thanks

my partner recently had this problem and they've been using systemic granules!! they've been working lovely, definitely recommend wearing a face mask when using them though

look into the safety warnings of systemic granules before purchasing and using them, they’re HIGHLY toxic and can be incredibly dangerous to your health even with proper precautions

Try Systemic granules. It’s an internal pesticide and works wonders. You’ll see results in a couple days

If you can, trim off everything damaged. They lay eggs in the plant tissue that can keep them going indefinitely.

I will try for the larger plants! I have a few that are small and if I cut of the bad leaves they wouldn’t have any leaves left 🤣
