Fungus gnats. Super annoying but harmless. I find they tend to get worse in the spring time. I get mosquito dunks at Lowe’s or Home Depot, break off a chunk (about half-ish) and pop it into my big watering can (1 gallon). I fill up my watering can, let the dunk sit at least overnight to make a “tea” and water with that to kill the eggs and larva. The dunks can last for several weeks to a month (until they are completely broken up), before they need replacing with a fresh piece. I also use yellow sticky traps for the adults if a bad case.

I keep the yellow sticky traps in my pots year round since I find it is also a helpful preventative measure of new outbreaks. Plus, they aren’t expensive, very easy to use, and last a long time

After having fungus gnats in my home, I researched and tried a number of things, including the aforementioned products. The best, and the only product in my opinion to use, is the one pictured. It will actually get rid of your fungus gnats while the others are more long-term treatments. You can purchase this online from Amazon, and it’s not expensive; it only takes a few drops of this with every watering, and voilà… your fungus gnat problem will be a thing of the past… for the most part! Any more questions, just ask. Good luck!
