My Calathea Rattlesnake hasn’t been doing so hot lately. Her leaves are getting crispy at the edges and I’m not quite sure how to fix this problem. I have a plant humidifier, but I’m not sure if it’s useful or not. She has put out a couple new leaves recently, and it’s just some of the older ones are slightly browning. Any ideas?

It could be the type of water you use. Calatheas for some reason do not like tap water (maybe the chemicals). Try using distilled water

I would collect & use rainwater over distilled. The cost really adds up. It’s almost certainly chemicals — I water mine with tap, but I have a well. Minerals sometimes, but no chlorine. Bright indirect with a splash of morning sun works well for mine

Well draining soil mix, humidity at 50% if possible, water with rain, distilled or tap water treated with aquarium conditioner. I use API stress coat. 2-3 drops per gallon.
