I need help! I posted a month ago about my plant and was told to get a smaller pot which I did…. But I don’t know if my plant is still alive or not. The original pot was too big and my plant was over watered and dropped its leaves really fast. The last 4 leaves dropped/died but are still hanging on to the plant… the first picture was a month ago when I repotted. The others are from it currently… and I’ve cut back on watering and it’s got a light for 12 hours a day…. is my plant still alive?

Lots of roots in there. Have you checked to see if wood is still green underneath top layer? Maybe use your fingernail and make a slight scrape

I did the scratch test towards the top and bottom.. it’s not green, it’s a light tan color but the stem is still moist.

Not looking good then. I hate losing them but sometimes you have to move on. 🥰

It's probably rotted all the way through

It's barely hanging in there but struggling. It has a serious case of rot and is not likely to survive, but if you want to try saving it, treat the roots with hydrogen peroxide every three days and hope for the best. Be very gentle with the leaves and play music for it

What do you mean by treat the roots with hydrogen peroxide?

You put hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle and squirt the roots. Kills bacteria. Kinda like when you put it on a sore etc. I always do this with roots when dealing with root rot
