This is an all around view of my golden pothos in water. Do the roots look fine or is there a bit of root rot? Got it as a gift from someone else on Sunday. Did a bit of cleanup already but want to get some fresh eyes on it.

Thats just how they look when theyre new. Fuzzy and beige even. Rot is blackish and slimy. When changing the water give the roots a gentle rinse. When I do this the spent parts get flushed out. Also you can keep the water pretty shallow so the roots dont "drown" (sorry for the lack of technical jargon).
