My sister took her snake plant out of the pot to water and she found all these creepy crawlys at bottom of pot. I believe they are like centipedes but not sure. Not sure if it’s a bad sign for the plant? Any ideas?

Is it outside? Bugs tend to hide in outdoor pots. I’d remove them but they aren’t really hurting anything
1 mi piaceI believe she’s had it inside. I am thinking maybe just a repot to give the plant some fresh soil.
2 Mi piaceDid she have it still in the soil from the shop?
1 mi piaceYep! And I think it was from Home Depot
0 Mi piaceI’ve gotten some great plants from there but I usually repot first thing cuz I think they are always saturated and not in the best draining soil.
2 Mi piacePretty much if it’s not from the plant shop I know and it’s going to be in my house, I’ll repot it just because I have no idea the conditions they were kept in. I’m always concerned about big things crawling out of them 🤢

Those look like millipedes. They are harmless but they are usually around because there are pest to eat. They won’t stay around if they don’t have food, so be sure to check the plant and soil for pests.
