i’ve had this cactus for about 3 years and these spots just appeared. idk what they are and was wondering if anyone else does

Scale? If yo can pop one off with your fingernail or a qtip soaked with alcohol , they are kinda white n fuzzy inside the “shell”

Yes. They are harmful to your plants. I usually use isopropyl alcohol and remove what I can see, then spray it all over the plant. But I think I’ve heard not to spray succulents/cacti with this. So there are other options like Neem and insecticidal soap that you’d prob want to check into
