So days ago my orchid was literally in the brink of death, and i was sad and confused couse I didn’t know what i did wrong , so i searched up a little bit and a lot of people here were great help and i was able to save my plant . But iwas not sure if she was doing well couse I didn’t see any change , until this morning I noticed a new leaf growing and i’m sooo happy i wanted to cry and all. So i just wanted to say thank you to you guys this is my verg first plant and i really didn’t want her to die( my mom kept saying she was gonna buy me a new one and i was like nooooo 😭I don’t want tooo)

One more thing is that my aunt also had a dying orchid bu i never helped her couse i wasn’t even sure mine was gonna make it, but seeing this progress on my plant i decided there was no reason not to help. One interesting fact is that when i was repotted her her roots were blue (i was like wtf is this?) for a moment I started thinking maybe orchid roots are blue ? I decided i would let her in a pot with water for some minutes since my aunt never watered her , and when i picked her up after a while the roots where green ! I was like wow poor thing dhe must have been so thirsty , that also proved she was still alive. ORCHIDS ARE WARRIORS!!!!!!!

Did u plant the roots on the top also? Mine have roots on top and bottom and i was told never to plant the top roots. Maybe a different kind? I am just leaning about these myself?

No , i keep the roots under the soil , i didn’t know that you shouldn’t plant to roots , i don’t know if you used an old pic but you should cut those dry roots , it helps the plant concentrate in recovery ❀
