For leaf shine i use 2 cups lukewarm water, 3 drops of white vinegar (not more than like 1/4tsp), 2 drops of Castille Peppermint dish soap (doesn't matter what kind, could be dawn, etc too), and a few drops of coconut oil. Then I spray on and use microfiber gloves from Amazon to rub it all over.

0 Me gustaOhh and ideally do it at night, midday, or turn the lights off, as the oil can cause a burn from refraction if it's then set under bright light. I usually just do this routine at night, like once a month to remove any dustiness

Be very careful if using Dawn. It is not a soap but is a detergent. It can damage leaves.

0 Me gustaVinegar and water. I use roughly 1/4 cup vinegar to 3/4 cup water. I apply it gently with a soft cloth to avoid bruising the leaves and vines of my hoyas. I may have to apply it twice. Many of my plants like the Hoya Potsii in the photo come from Florida. The hard water stains are covered with a layer of fine sand that can act as an abrasive. I have to wash off the sand before wiping the chalky spots.
