I am becoming a little disenchanted with my new plant AI app. This is my pickle plant. It gets very stemmy and the old leaves dry out. Yesterday AI told me it wasn't getting enough water so I changed the watering schedule. I asked again today out of curiosity and it told me I was over watering it and should let it dry out more. 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️. Anyone have any ideas why this plant does this? Do I really need to take the whole thing out of the pot to check the roots?
Honestly I don’t think the ai is very helpful. I never go off of it I feel like it always said something about the watering schedule.

Seconding, the ai is not good. I set how often I want to water my plants based on how soon they dry out and the app reminds me then. The default watering reminder is too often for me.
0 J'aime I go by a combination of Planta and custom for watering. The AI was just a new app I was checking out. It's been totally accurate with identifying what plant it is but not with any problems.

That’s a beautiful collection! With that many plants the pickle plant might not have enough light because the other plants are causing shade. Pickle plants need a ton of direct sunlight so maybe move it lower. Make sure roots aren’t circling pot as well.
