what's wrong with this fishbone cactus? my mom just took it home from her office (bright light, watered every 2 weeks) and it looks... not good. is this caused by overwatering? should the affected stems/leaves be cut off? thanks in advance!

    Most likely a watering issue. Is the soil dry when you water it? I would probably take it out of the pot to check the roots and repot into a well draining soil if that's not what you're using. You should treat this plant like a succulent for best results. 😊🪴 I just noticed there are roots coming through the bottom of the pot. You could size up a size on the planter you have it in.
