I can’t add the video on here so it’s hard to tell but can anyone help me figure out what’s that white bug on the edge of the pot? The pot has a lot of them walking around and I need to figure out how to get rid of them 😵‍💫😩 they look white/transparent

It could be a juvenile form of several insects including mealybugs, aphids, scales and thrips. Dabbing them with a cotton swab containing isopropyl alcohol can kill most insects. Use a spray bottle if there are a lot of them. Wipe down the area and the pots with the alcohol. Isolate the plant. Check and treat all the infected plants. Repeat applications as needed.

How often would you spray? Daily until gone? Also, is it straight isopropyl alcohol or diluted with water? Thanks so much for your info.

Use neem oil every 7 days until gone also spray in soul before u water so the oil goes through your soil when u water.

I can’t really see from the picture but it’s possible they’re springtails instead of harmful pests. Under a magnifying glass observe them and if they jump very fast (they kind look like they teleport when they jump bc it happens so fast), then you got springtails and they’re harmless. You can try poking at them to get them to jump.

You can also get some Bonide granules and insecticidal soap. Put the granules in the top layer and water it. It should kill any larva. Spray down the leaves and stems with the soap, let sit and then rinse. Good luck!

I highly recommend against using Bonide granules because the dust from it can cause lung cancer. This is based on the materials safety data sheet (MSDS) issued by the company. The instructions state to wear PPE gear like gloves and mask and handle the product in a well ventilated area. You will have continuous exposure to it if you apply it on your plants.
