HELP!! I got this Peace Lily 7 weeks ago at my momā€™s funeral. The leaves keep turning yellow. On here it has said either too much water or not enough sun. I have moved it to my sunniest spot (although we are very cloudy this week), followed weekly watering guidelines, and used a grow light. On Thursday I removed yellow leaves and ran the grow light. Friday it looked perfect, and Saturday it had more yellow leaves than ever. How much should I water it each week? I am NOT good at keeping plants alive, but because of where I got it, I am desperate to succeed this time. Please help me!

    Yellow is overwatering, try coffee grounds and eggshells gor nutrients and if theres pest repot and add 3 pennies to the top of the soil that will help keep them away

      And checl your roots for flooding!! Try drainage holes on ur pots

    Yellow leaves mean plant is likely overwatered. First check roots for rot. Light doesnā€™t need to be bright, but ambient. Moving it around doesnā€™t help. These plants are dramatic and stressful. I advise you instead of following Plantaā€™s advice strictly, check the soil for moisture before watering. The plant will start to droop when itā€™s thirsty.

    Iā€™m so sorry for your loss šŸ¤ Iā€™d recommend getting a cheap moisture meter that can help easily check the moisture levels throughout the soil to let you know if the plant needs watering. I use one on all of mine and itā€™s stopped me from overwatering!

    Donā€™t worry- despite their drama, peace lilies are quite robust and come back after some cleanup/cutting down. Water when you see it drooping (itā€™ll quickly perk up afterwards); you could be watering too much. Ideally the pot should also have some drainage. It could be some drama just from changes in conditions. Sending you good juju ā€” I also have some funeral plants, and I worry about them too much

    Iā€™m so sorry about your mom also. Sending you peace and love. I lost my sister (aka best friend) 9 months ago unexpectedly. Itā€™s a tough part of our existence that we have to say goodbye. FWIW, I think it helps to still speak of (and to) her, feeling close in spirit.
