Sassafras

Please help me figure out what I’m doing wrong. My Hoya Sea Stones keeps dropping leaves. Whole sections of the stem breaks off. The leaves are yellowing and curling up too. I’ve taken a picture of some of the healthier leaves, and the shriveling leaves for reference at first I thought it was lack of sunlight because I had her placed about 10 feet away from the west facing window, but I’ve had a grow light on her for 18 hours a day for several days and it’s not helping. Granted it was a cheaper grow light from Amazon so I don’t know if that might be part of the problem. I’ve been checking the soil with a moisture meter and only watering when absolutely dry. please let me know what I should try next.

Parts of it looks dry especially the new growth. It could also be adjusting to the new home if it was bought less than a month. Definitely, use the grow light. The cheaper grow lights really need to be within 1 foot of the plant.
