does anyone have any advice on what to do with this plant? I got it from my grandma and Iām not sure if I should just leave it how it is, or cut it and try to grow new roots

I believe this plant is called a Bromeliad, a beautiful bloom was on the center when I was given one, it eventually died, at the time I didnāt know I could have repotted it ā¹ļø. Iāve had mine for 2years. I do find I stress over the care, wondering if Iām doing right by it. Iāve learned that the center top of theses plants requires water at all times. Not necessarily were the roots are but where it usually blooms, I have heard they only bloom once but the base where its roots are just continues to grow and require moisture soil. So far I have not managed to unalivied šor destroy it. If it were my plant I would care for it in the following way. Make sure there is water in the center at top of the plant. Let the brown leaves fall off as they may. Give it indirect sunlight and give it happy care and thoughts. Wishing you and your plant good health. Btw Google caring for Bromeliads and you will find good info as I have.
