I just nothing this discoloration happening on a piece of my cactus. Is this something I need to be worried about?

    Thank you for the comment PlantyAnn. The dark spot seems to be as firm as the other areas. - I am following the watering schedule of the app and general water later than when it tells me due to travel. - It gets tons of sunlight in its south/east facing window - the soil is airy, cactus soil in a pot with a hole for drainage and it has not been re-potted recently.
