Why is it already dying it’s new 😞
I'm not sure if this is allowed. I joined this app just this week. But I use AI. I upload an image of my plant and ask it for help. It did it for yours and this is what it says: The plant in the image appears to be experiencing yellowing and browning of its leaves, which can indicate several potential issues. Here are some tips that could help your friend's plant thrive: 1. **Check Watering Routine**: Yellow leaves are often a sign of overwatering or underwatering. - **Overwatering**: Make sure the soil drains well and that there is no standing water in the pot. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out before watering again. - **Underwatering**: If the soil is too dry, increase watering frequency but avoid soaking the plant. 2. **Light Exposure**: The plant may not be getting enough light, or it could be receiving too much direct sunlight, causing leaf burn. - **Solution**: Place the plant in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves. 3. **Humidity**: Some plants, especially tropical varieties, need higher humidity. - **Solution**: If the air is dry, consider misting the plant or placing it near a humidifier. 4. **Nutrient Deficiency**: Yellowing can also occur due to a lack of nutrients, particularly nitrogen. - **Solution**: Feed the plant with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season. 5. **Inspect for Pests**: Check the undersides of the leaves for small pests such as spider mites or aphids, which can cause yellowing. - **Solution**: If pests are present, treat the plant with insecticidal soap or neem oil. 6. **Repotting**: If the plant is root-bound, it may need to be repotted into a larger container with fresh soil to encourage healthy growth. If your friend addresses these issues, the plant should start to improve over time.

0 LikesNew plants need to adjust to their new environment. It could take up to a month for some plants to settle in. Repotting during this period is not recommended since it adds additional stress on a plant that’s going through moving stress. Verify the size of the new pot is only 2 inches wider than the old pot. Excess soil in too large pots will rot the roots with standing water. Check the roots for rot. Overwatering can produce the yellowing as well. 🍀🪴
