What is going on with my Swiss cheese plant?!?! I have had him a year and he has grown steadily and been propped multiple times. A few months ago he started to have leaves slowly turn yellow. It is only one or two at a time and then after they fall one to two more start dying. I haven’t really changed anything and he is still growing healthy new leaves. It often is the bigger leaves dying but sometimes ones not as old. Soil is not super bad I repotted about 6 months ago because he was outgrowing his pot. It’s regular with perrilite for increased drainage but it is exactly the same as he had before and I am watering per app. Not moved or had any light changes. Please help!

    My sister had one and it thrived. She moved south. It survived the auto train and delay over multiple days in a hotel room. She finally bought a house after living with my parents for several months; the plant survived that move also. Plant was almost 4 years old and just stating declining and died. It was huge. She had it since 2020. I find that species is finicky. I’m in my third, and it is showing signs of decline. If it dies, I am done with that variety. I hope yours survives!

    nutrient deficiency? they like a lot of nitrogen. this could also be overwatering, you may have put him in too big of a pot and now the soil isn't drying like it should between waterings.

    Hi, Check for mites. I see some leaves showing damage. They would be on the underside of the leaves - if you have toilet paper, wipe the bottom of your leaves and if you see red streaks on your paper, you have mites. As for the yellowing, the water isn’t hitting the bottom of the pot and fully saturating the planter so it’s dropping leaves. Adansonii will grow roots downwards and circle around the base so sometimes it’s easy to underwater because we underestimate how much roots are down below.
