Hello i have an alocasia amazonica thats has discoloration on a leaf 3 leaves of this plant has died its in a 4 inch plastic pot i water when the soil is dry its in the same soil as when I bought itcan someone please tell me what's going on with her

    I don’t know for sure, but I expect some comments on changing its soil. However, I have no experience with this plant.

    Alocasia leaves go yellow and die off to feed new growth this is normal , but they are prone to getting spider mites which I think I can see on the leaf, have you noticed any small webbing in the top open v part, also check on back of leaves, they are very small and can move fairly fast, check any nearby plants aswell, hoping I’m wrong, I hate them spiders mites, they’ve ravaged a few of mine over the last couple years

    It’s normally best to let the leaves go nearly full yellow before cutting off, although they will eventually flap over and shrink.as cutting off before new leaf start growing out can cause a slight delay in the new leaf growth. They like there feed/fertilizer.
