Has anyone ever used Miracle Gro Leaf Shine spray? On a caladium? I have one that just doesn’t seem to be doing so hot. I’ve given it more sun, less sun, more water, less water, it just doesn’t seem to be happy. I think it’s soil that I used might’ve been a little over fertilized when I originally potted it, just trying to help it out.

When I use that. I spray it on a cloth then wipe the leaves. Never directly on the leaves. I don’t have that plant. But my others plants do just fine with it.

What problem are you having with the plant? I don’t think leaf shine is going to solve the issue.

It just doesn’t seem happy. When I first brought it home, it’s leaves were very thick and healthy feeling. since then it has opened new leaves, but they don’t seem to want to fully uncurl and several of the leaves that it previously had,I had to trim off because they got sunburn. when they had sunburn, I moved it to shady spot and I haven’t seen any more sunburn since but the leaves haven’t seemed to recover and are still pretty curly. It’s been a couple weeks, I do have it in a hanging pot with Coco choir. I’m not sure if that’s the problem? The soil that I originally potted with is a very heavy soil with a lot of fertilizer, I don’t know if that was my mistake. It did seem to perk up a slightly when I started watering it more.

You should watch some care videos on YouTube, they give lots of care tips and advice. Just watching one video about caladiums and I think it would be better as an indoor plant. They like tropical climates so it needs warm temps, high humidity and bright indirect light. They need a well draining soil mix and don’t need fertilizer much. There’s a lot of factors involved but if you give it the right conditions it will bounce back. This is a more difficult plant to keep so don’t be discouraged

Thank you! I’ve never had one before. I was thinking it may need to come indoors. I live in an extremely humid area but it is getting a bit chilly at night. I’ll try repotting and bringing it in. Thanks again!
