I got this plant from a friend and it was so cute and succulent-esque and even had some little blooms, but its leaves keep dying and falling off and idk how to help it! I also don’t know what the plant is, so I can’t look it up. Any ideas?

This is what I got from putting your picture into Google Lens. Hope it helps. This is a String of Hearts plant, also known as Ceropegia woodii. Helpful information: Appearance: It's a succulent vine with heart-shaped leaves that are green with silver markings on top and purple underneath. It produces small, tubular flowers that are purplish to purplish-white. Care: This plant prefers bright, indirect light and well-draining soil. Water it when the soil is dry to the touch, and avoid overwatering. Growth habit: The vines can trail up to 3 feet long indoors and even longer in their natural habitat.

I don't believe this is a string of hearts. Stems are too thick. I have used Google lens also and sometimes it is right but sometimes it's not.It looks like some variety of sedum. Do a little searching for sedums, there are a lot of varieties and see if any match what it looked like when you got it.

I think you’re right; it looks like a tricolor sedum. Thanks!

That's great, I'm glad you have it identified. Sedums are pretty Hardy and resilient. Can't say if it will come back but you should cut back all the stems to an inch or two, check the roots and cut back any of that look or feel mushy, make sure the soil is well draining, and repotted in better soil if it is not good soil. As you can probably tell sedums are succulents so run it on the dry side and give it bright light, maybe even direct sun. In my area, iowa, most sedums are grown outdoors although some are not winter hardy so they are kept as houseplants. They do much better outdoors because of the increased light. I would also give your plant a little fertilizer maybe something half strength.
