This randomly appeared at the base of my strawberry mint today. Was not there 24 hours ago. What is it???? Is it fungus/mold?? Can I treat it? The plant has already been sprayed with pesticide/fungicide so I am super confused by this.

Hmm that is strange. I’m thinking it’s a fungus, especially since it grew so quickly, but I don’t think I’ve seen one like that before

I think it might be something called dog vomit slime mold. Google it for more info. It is NOT harmful to your plant or you.

I think you’re right!! When i researched it, the article said it usually goes away on its own. Surprise surprise, I wake up today and it’s gone!! So weird how that works.
