So my money tree has been doing okay but it keeps switching between good and bad. I had to remove two trunks that died a few months ago. And now a third (middle in photo) seems to not be producing leaves and it’s shriveling. I’ve watered it when the soil is close to dry or practically dry. I check the soil. I mist it regularly. And there’s drainage in the soil. But I don’t understand what is happening with it. What should I do?

So I would stop misting, the risks aren’t worth it. It can lead to rot and fungus and all types of annoying things. Have you pulled it out and put eyes on the roots? I would start there

I will stop the misting and see how that goes. The roots of the plant are pretty short. Not sure if they’re supposed to be like that

Yes I did repot it with the new soil and into a new pot that was smaller than the other. It was thriving after I did that. But now the branch just started to shrivel

I’m not super familiar but short doesn’t sound right. It could be that the soil is too dense. When you water it does the water run through and out of the pot or does it sit on top for a while?

Pull that baby out and look at them roots. I had to clean mine up and also cut some leaf off, but look at it now and I had to change the pot and the soil.
