I got this ripple jade a few days ago, and this is my first plant so I’m really wanting it to not die immediately! I’m not sure what could be causing that black spot (fungus or mold?), the brown spots, or the shriveled dead leaves. It gets full sunlight and I’ve only watered it once when I first got it 4 days ago. Anyone have any ideas?

    Shriveled leaves on a ripple jade (Crassula ovata 'Ripple Jade') are most commonly caused by underwatering, but can also be a sign of overwatering resulting in root rot, or insufficient light. To diagnose the issue, check if the soil is dry, the plant feels light, or if the leaves are soft and squishy (indicating underwatering) versus mushy and brown (indicating root rot from overwatering). You should water thoroughly only when the top inch or two of soil is dry and ensure your pot has proper drainage and a well-draining soil mix. 🙏🏽

    I wonder if it was acclimated to full sun before? This happened to me when I put my jade in full sun, it wasn’t acclimated and the whole thing wilted and died
