Hello all! I recently bought this monstera about a week ago, the new growth for some reason has some brownish black spotting on it, I don’t know what’s happening. I don’t think I am overwatering. Any idea what’s going on?

Its hard to tell if you just got the plant. It could be a few things... mechanical 'scarring' from to little humidity when unfurling. Or it could be a pest issue. Or it could be a root issue.

didn’t loosen up the root ball that much because I was scared I’ll remove too many roots and shock the plant, no signs of pests yet! I might have to make my environment a bit more humid!

I would let it unfurl. Continue to mist the new leaf. I would allow the next leaf to emerge before cutting off the damaged leaf since the plant is still adjusting to its new environment.

I’ve noticed some of my other plants seem like they are ‘stuck’ I have new leaves on some but it seems they are taking longer to unfurl. Will misting the new growth help with that?

It does. When i see new leaves, especially on the cataphyll problem children. I mist 1x am and pm
