I recently got this Monstera and she’s growing a new leaf, but it’s brown. I’m so new to plants I don’t know if this is normal or what.

    I would check for pests, or make sure the light isn’t too close to the plant.

    because it's just affecting new growth i would check the roots. this could be a warning sign for root rot

    For what it’s worth, as I am not a plant expert, my experience when a leaf looks like that is that it got sunburnt four in the case of a new leaf that had not yet unfilled if it had too much moisture inside the curled leaf
