I cannot for the life of me figure out how to stop the leaves from browning? The soil feels dry about two inches deep so sometimes I water it early but I feel like itās still slowly dying for me over time. Any thoughts?

Hey! Do you keep it in direct sunlight?
0 LikesHey! Iād say itās about 20 ft from my main window. Itās a pretty big window so the plant still gets a good amount of light but just not sitting right at the window.
0 Likes20 feet is pretty far from a window i think š¤ it may not seem like it to us but plants are more sensitive to light. i also think these plants need to dry out more, like at least halfway down the pot. my bet is that more light & less water might help š¤

In my experience with my corn, she is pretty resilient without water and can dry out lower than 2 inches. When they get rot from overwatering they are pretty much goners so try to avoid having them constantly wet/damp. You can tell if yours has rot if you squeeze the bark area close to the soil and it gives rather than being firm like a tree should. They do well without full sun but 20ft is far imo, try bringing them a little closer to the window area. Good luck! š±š

Yes 5 ft should be just fine and it sounds like youāre beating root rot so thatās also great. Keep an eye on any plant when you change its location, but like I said corns are pretty resilient. Iām sure itāll be just fine šš½
