Lavender

Oddly my plant Iris has been only growing new leaves that are white for the past 2 years. I kinda ignored it just because of how pretty the variation looks, but now I’m getting concerned just because of the connection with chloroplast and the green in leaves with sun intake. Is this normal? it seems to be growing fine, but definitely strange!

Most people recommend cutting off pure white leaves in hopes that the plant will return to green leaves. You are correct that they will not add any benefit to the plant. The plant is basically wasting energy on those leaves
