Does anyone know what's going on with this plant? It's losing so many bottom leaves. I know they always lose a couple but this is losing a ton. I haven't changed it's watering schedule or where I keep it. It's been in the same window for five or six years. I'm stumped.

I was going to purchase one of these today from a garden centre near me, but noticed spider mite webbing on so didn’t purchase this time, yours looks really good , minus the issue with bottom leaves, only thing I can think of is needs to remove more near bottom for the new inner leaves to grow, but if this isn’t normal then probably best check roots, when did you last repot

Just looked up a bit about it, if it’s soggy and falling of the plant is storing to much water, which could indicate an issue with its roots, if not done a soil change in the last year then the nutrients in the soil could be depleted even if you give it feed

Definitely going to check roots today. Thanks.

This looks like a lace aloe. They do lose bottom leaves occasionally, but the leaves totally dry up first. Yours don’t appear to be doing that. Looks like they are immediately turning brown. So best guess is overwatering. Even though it’s been fine for a long time, maybe it has been struggling, and now has become too much. I have one, much smaller, but very attractive plant. So how often do you water? Should be about every 3 weeks or so. So lift it out and check root quality. You may find some bad roots. ——Just checked mine gets watered about 2 weeks, but in a shallow terracotta pot. Big difference from your pot.

I'll check the roots. I only water on Planta's schedule and never before the soil has dried out.

Sounds like it may be something else then. Just keep in mind though that Planta’s schedule is only a reminder and not always correct.
