I discovered these babies today! I’ve been scratching behind my ear like a hound dog since. I was going to run out immediately for something to spray on them, instead I just rubbed them off. I only found 8, using a magnifying glass, but they are so small and the same color. You can only see them in silhouette on the stem. Everyone has had a thorough search for bugs. I’m sure there’s more and plan to keep a close eye on it. I’m going to make up a batch of soap spray and get some hydrogen peroxide. I’ve had a Pothos and a snake plant for a couple of years. They were ignored into pretty good condition. I’m trying to grow herbs in a window and am getting kind of plant obsessed but don’t have any experience. I appreciate all the advice on this app! So much easier than the web.

    Aphids, they are stubborn but it looks like you caught them early. SPray them good and maybe get rid of whatever soil is in the pot you have just in case they have set up shop in there

    You can spray them off for the firm stream of water. If you do it regularly you'll drown them all.

    I have been inspecting my plants (4 new and 4 long resident) using a magnifying glass. I killed 11 aphids on day one, 4 on day two and none so far today. I don’t know what the life cycle of aphids is but I’m going to keep watching for a good long while. It did get me to be more realistic about the tasks and care. Aphids aren’t just in books and when it’s inside it’s not relaxing.
