I’ve had my mini orchid for maybe a month or longer and it has started to lose its flowers/buds and is turning yellow at the top(as you can see in the photo)… should I put it in a bigger pot? Or maybe even cut off the bad part??

one that second stalk loses its flowers you can cut the stalk all the way down to the base, and it will regrow more blooms! if you want to repot, you can do so when you trim the stem. you typically wait until it is done flowering, unless it badly needs to be transplanted. just remember to only go up in pot size 1-2 inches bigger than the root ball and trim any unhealthy roots (anything black, dried out or mushy) hope this helps!

How far from the base should it be cut? And would it hurt it if it just kept turning yellow til the other part lost its flowers?

you can cut as close as you can to the base, and no, i dont think letting it keep turning yellow would be too bad, but u can cut the yellow off if you would like :)

Do you know how to get it to bloom again? I have a little guy just like this and he’s doing wonderfully, but I haven’t seen any new stalks growing. I’d love to get him to blossom again 🌱
