Hiya everyone! I come to the plant council for advice. I want to be able to periodically mist & wipe my plants with a solution of water & neem oil, to keep the pests at bay and generally just keep the leaves clean. I heard conflicting things about using regular dish soap as an emulsifier? Will it be too harsh on the leaves if used a few times a month? Should I give it a go or go buy Castile soap for the mixture? Thank you!!🌿

I’ve been spraying my plants with Systemica every watering. Much easier than mixing up something and wiping off the leaves. It’s only been a few months. Has not harmed any plants and seems to be working. I started using this because I wanted a break from using Bonide every couple months. I pretty much halted neem oil because it damaged a few of my echeverias in the past.

I use peppermint Castile soap and it’s the BEST! I highly recommend if you’re willing to get it!

I’m there is a creator on YouTube who made a “sexy plant juice” mix that you can make at home. I’ve been using that for the last two months and my leaves look great and it helps with pests.
