Their leaves turn a reddish color when they’re getting a lot of sun, this is known as sun stress, and it’s totally OK. You can give it less light or move it away from too much direct like if you want the leaves a green color. The dried up leaves makes me wonder if it might be underwatered or pot bound. Check the soil and make sure to water it thoroughly when the first inch or two of soil feels dry. Make sure the pot has a drainage hole as well. Otherwise it’s a stunning plant.

Agreed. It could be a Crosby’s Compact Crassula Ovata, given the more compact look of the leaves and bright red color from the sun. If the jade has never been repotted, or hasn’t in a long time, I’d suspect the jade simply needs a repot into some fresh cactus mix. I swear by Espoma’s Organic Cactus and Succulent Mix for my jades, but any non-Miracle Grow brand cactus mix should do. I’d avoid Miracle Grow’s soil for this one, as it simply isn’t well-draining enough, even their cactus mix, especially for a jade. If it has recently been repotted, then the shriveled leaves could be from underwatering or sunburn, which would be the case if the leaves have been getting wet and placed back in direct sun after watering. If you don’t think that’s the case, then underwatering is the most likely culprit. Hope this helps! 😊
