Anyone know why my watermelon plant is getting leggy? I thought it was her not getting enough light so moved her up on this shelf about two weeks ago and she is still doing it :(

Commenting to follow. Does yours also have a long “root/base” above the soil?

It’s possible it needs a smaller pot, then. Peperomia enjoy getting root-bound and being snug in their pots, and if its root system isn’t as developed, it could be struggling to get enough water and nutrients from the soil. If you wanna try repotting it, I’ve found mine enjoys a mix of 70% All-Purpose Mix to 30% Cactus and Succulent Mix (and if you’re looking for any brand recs, I swear by Espoma) I’d avoid using anything with a lot of peat moss, especially if there isn’t a very developed root system. Hope this helps!

Most peperomias have a shallow root system so they tend to do better in a shallow succulent pot. Looking at your plant it appears to me to be a lack of light issue. I have several peperomias and they enjoy morning sun along with 12 hours of supplemental light. It’s just a couple of cheap Amazon lights, not the bright Sansi or Barrina.
