those are aerial roots!
6 LikesThey grow long aerial roots when trying to find water or trying to climb structure to get to more light. I’m guessing it needs water because the plant is a month old with several dead vines and wrinkled leaves. Then, I saw in the plant’s info the pot has no drainage which could mean the roots sit in water too long (root rot ) while the time between watering is too long. I recommend moving it to a pot with drain holes. A clay pot would be ideal to dry out excess moisture. Also, water before the plant gets too dry to avoid the leaves and stems dying off. 🍀🪴

1 LikeAerial roots, if you want, you can cut a few inches from the aerial root and put it in water, then it will grow a new plant!😎
