Looking for advice! 🪴 My philodendron verrucosum hasn’t really rooted into its moss pole and has really large internodal spacing (see pics). There are a few aerial roots visible in the pole from the most recent leaves. I’m keen to keep maturing it and reduce the internodal spacing. I’m not sure where I’m going wrong, it grows like hell! The leaves were getting significantly larger but has plateaued recently. The moss pole is kept moist, the pole isn’t overly compact with moss, i wrapped cling film around the aerial roots to reduce the risk of them drying out and encourage rooting, and it has until very recently lived under a grow light (now facing a south facing window). I don’t really want to extend the moss pole if it will just continue to remain leggy. I’m torn whether to chop and try again with the top cutting (and risk it dying since it won’t have soil roots and only a few aerial roots) or extend the pole and remain hopeful.
