Hi all! I bought this money tree ~2 weeks ago (never had one before). I noticed right after purchasing it has mealy bugs on a leaf so I physically removed those/treated/quarantined the plant for a week. Repotted a week ago and now am noticing these spots on 2 of the newer leaves. Any idea what this could be? The plant has been watered according to schedule and has north facing and *some* west facing light.

  1. Oops, All Plants

Hi! If they’re just slight spots, I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Since you just got the plant not long ago and it’s endured a repot and pest treatment, it’s possible your plant is showing residual signs of shock. Monitor the new growth- if new foliage is coming out the same, I’d reevaluate my watering schedule, based off the crispiness of a few of the leaves I can see. If you can, stick to bottom watering and make sure you have proper drainage because these suckers don’t like to drown.

Ah thank you for the bottom watering tip! There is proper drainage so I’ll keep an eye on it🤞
